Archaeology, Landscape and Wine

Their leitmotif is to enhance wine tourism in the Empordà through historic and cultural heritage. The Glops d’Història team, made up of Oriol and Romina, combine three elements that they consider essential – archaeology, landscape and wine – so as to organise meaningful guided visits of the region, avoiding superfluous itineraries and whistle-stop tours. They set out to show visitors the region and its winemaking in depth, at a leisurely pace and with sips [glops] of ancient history through tasting DO Empordà wines.

We interview Romina Ribera, cofounder of Glops d’Història, a historian and professional archaeologist, who tells us about her wine tourism activities and assures us that the Empordà is one of the regions with most international projection in the winemaking sector.
