Three Alt Empordà wineries grow vines in the Cap de Creus Natural Park by organic, totally environmentally-friendly methods so as to minimise the impact on the ecosystem and local landscape. Ceps de Cap de Creus Association is led by Mas Estela, Mas Sa Perafita, run by the Martín Faixó winery, and Mas Marès, part of Espelt Viticultors.
Their main aim is to promote the region, its wine growing and the range of wine tourism options available at both mountain and coastal vineyards, all characterised by the Empordà’s strong tramontana wind. It is a place defined by the association’s three representatives as being unique in the world, with a biodiversity of terroirs that makes DO Empordà organic wines so singular.
